Entrepreneurs and Professionals Network (EPNET) is pleased to celebrate the success of their first annual EPNET Young Entrepreneur Camp for developing young entrepreneurs. Only 12 exceptional young adults between ages 9-16 were selected for the one-of-a-kind “Boot Camp” for youth who either had their own business or had a sincere desire to start a business.

The inaugural camp was held July 16-20, 2013 from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the New Beginnings Community Center in Bowie, MD for children in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area.

This camp was fully funded by the members and sponsors of the EPNET organization. No camper had to pay out of pocket for anything associated with the camp. Everything from meals and transportation to field trips, snacks, notebooks, pens, backpacks and T-shirts for five days (a different shirt color each day) was provided. EPNET extends its sincere appreciation to all sponsors for their support.

The camp aimed to add a firm foundation of knowledge to an existing passion to own their own business – a formula for success for some of DMV’s most talented, young residents. The one-week camp held workshops, exercises, mentoring, field trips, competitions and special awards.

*We are working to bring our EPNET Young Entrepreneur Camp back. Stay tuned.
